The National Universities Commission (NUC) adjudged the University of Lagos as the Best University in Nigeria at the Nigerian University System Annual Merit Award (NUSAMA).

UNILAG 103.1 FM, the FIRST University Radio Station in Nigeria. It was established to provide new experiences for students especially in relevant disciplines such as Mass Communication, Physics, Electronics, Distance Learning, etc. and increasing the educational opportunities available to the wider community. Since the commencement of its operation in 2004, Unilag FM has been expanding the frontiers of knowledge.
